Founding of the City of Agri-Food, Veterinary and Agri-Environmental Biotechnology (Saint-Hyacinthe), North America's first technology park dedicated exclusively to the biofood sector.

The CRDA (Centre de Recherche sur les Aliments Transformés) is a research center for processed foods. It specializes in food preservation, processing, quality and safety. It supports food and beverage processing companies in their R&D efforts.

Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole is responsible for economic development in the greater Saint-Hyacinthe region. The organization operates the City of Agri-Food, Veterinary and Agri-Environmental Biotechnology, a technology park at the heart of the largest ecosystem dedicated to the growth of the agri-food industry in Quebec.
